Hi! My name is Mel Nott, and welcome to my photography blog!

My experience with photography first started many years ago when I would quite happily take snaps of anything and anyone, the result being me having dozens of boxes of photographs tucked away in my house, only ever to be looked at again when I am feeling that tug of nostalgia that we all experience.... thankfully in these times of digital photography a whole new world has opened up to me and I am falling in love with photography all over again. I love natural light photography, but am also dabbling in studio work.

After having my four children, who are my treasures, and being lucky enough to be married to a wonderful, supportive and devoted husband, I am now finding little windows of opportunity to explore and experiment with my photos. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I loved capturing them! They are moments that I never wish to forget.......

Still learning

Did a little bit of practicing on my friends' kiddies (thanks guys!) and was really pleased with the results! See - I am getting better!




They are all in the style that I really wanted to achieve and I hope Shell loves them!

So it was either the cat or the cabbage patch baby... well the baby was staying still for me LOL

In the bath again!

It really is the only place these days where Pippa is actually willing to look at the camera - in other words, she can't escape LOL


ISO 100, f/4.2, 1/20 ss, fl 42mm - my own conversion - not an action in sight!!!
On a sadder note, my new lens didn't come last Friday... but guess what is waiting at the post office for me to pick up in the morning!!! YAY!!!
